The Street Department has designated a network of roads within the city as a snow route system. The only deviation from the designated route is by the request of Public Safety to assist in providing emergency access or support.

• Priority 1 - Principal and Minor Arterial Roadways and Collector Streets including the Square Business District; bridges, overpasses and viaducts.

• Priority 2 - 'Hot spots' (steep hills and dangerous intersections) Schools (other than those on the snow route) and Remaining Principal and Minor Arterial Roadways and Collector Streets.

• Priority 3 - Low-traffic residential areas. (Alleys will not be plowed except to maintain essential City services).
